A Journey of Grace

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 (NKJV)

1. The Problem: Our Separation

We were created for a relationship with God, but our own choices, what the Bible calls sin, have created a barrier between us and our Creator.

  • The Truth: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (NIV)

  • The Consequence: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23 (NASB)

2. The Solution: God’s Great Sacrifice

Because God loves us perfectly, He did for us what we could never do for ourselves. He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the debt for our sins upon the Cross.

  • The Demonstration: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

  • The Victory: Jesus did not remain in the grave. He rose again on the third day, proving His power over sin and death forever.

3. The Response: The ABCs of Faith

Salvation is a free gift, but like any gift, it must be received with a humble heart.

  • Admit: Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a Savior and turn away from your own way to follow God.

  • Believe: Trust in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God who died for you and rose again.

  • Confess: Publicly declare Jesus as the Lord of your life.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (NIV)

A Simple Prayer of Commitment

Heavenly Father, I admit that I have sinned and am in need of Your grace. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the Cross for my sins and rose from the dead to give me life. Today, I confess Him as my Lord and Savior. Help me to live for You from this day forward. Amen.
