We often find ourselves at similar crossroads perhaps not with our lives on the line, but with our reputations, comfort, or security at stake. Mordecai’s challenge to Esther reminds us that our positions and timing are rarely accidental. God often places us in specific kingdom moments where our silence or our speech will define our faithfulness.
Making a difficult decision requires us to look past our immediate fear and see the larger tapestry of God’s providence. Esther had to choose between the safety of the palace and the salvation of her people. When we are paralyzed by a choice, we must ask: Am I protecting my own comfort, or am I stepping into the purpose for which God created me? Deliverance will come, for God’s plans cannot be thwarted, but we are given the high honor of being His instruments.
